Mathew Robertson announced as CT Managing Director from 1 April 2024

The Directors of Campbell Tyson are delighted to announce Mathew Robertson will become Managing Director from 1 April 2024.

"We are confident that in Mathew we have a leader who respects Campbell Tyson's rich history and is excited about Campbell Tyson’s future – a future he is looking forward to helping shape.”

Mathew will be a familiar face to many of you. He started out as a graduate accountant at CT in 2001, and after a stint overseas, he re-joined the firm in 2008. He has been a key member of the team ever since and steps into the MD role with over 15 years’ experience within the firm, with 10 years as a CT Director.

A note from Kirsty Bullen

As we approach the end of yet another financial year (for most), it is a time for reflection and planning for the year ahead. For me, it is with excitement and a tinge of nostalgia that I announce I will be stepping down as Managing Director of Campbell Tyson effective 1 April 2024.

The past eight years as Managing Director have been an incredible journey, marked by milestones, challenges and moments of triumph. Together, we’ve navigated significant change including mergers, acquisitions, building moves, transforming internal processes and culture, we've commemorated a century of service in Franklin, and even tackled the unexpected challenges brought about by a global pandemic. Through it all, our team has exhibited amazing dedication, adaptability and resilience.

I am so proud of the progress we have made as a firm during my tenure, and I extend my sincere gratitude to each and every member of the Campbell Tyson team. Their support, hard work, and commitment have been the driving force behind our success. A special thank you to Melissa Richardson, our Operations Manager, who has been with me every step of the way and an incredible support throughout.

Looking ahead, my focus will shift towards working closely with you, our clients, to fuel your business growth, enhancing the advisory services available to you at Campbell Tyson and providing mentorship and guidance to our team. On the personal front, I look forward to spending more time with my family, indulging in our shared passion for rose growing and preparing for the National Rose Show to be held in Pukekohe later this year.

It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as CT’s Managing Director and I’m confident the firm will continue to prosper and thrive under the leadership of our new MD, Mathew Robertson.
