This is based on the original “one minute manager” but was revised in 2015 for the more modern working environment. It is a very quick read being only 96 pages long and is in essence a guide for managers wanting to empower their employees and teach them how to progress with very minimal direct guidance. The “game plan” as they refer to it is incredibly simple:
1. One Minute Goals: Defining success through clear goals and clear behaviour expectations. Then encouraging reference to the goals each day to see if what your team is doing is matching their goals.
2. One Minute Praising: Providing immediate and direct positive feedback.
3. One Minute Redirect: Offering constructive criticism aimed at correcting behaviour.
