We’re getting closer: $84,239 secured towards our $100,000 goal
When we set out to raise $100,000 to help renovate the two birthing suites at Pukekohe Maternity Hospital, we knew it was an ambitious goal.
Today, thanks to an incredible show of support from across our community, that goal is firmly within sight.
We’re delighted to share that the Kelliher Charitable Trust has approved a generous grant towards the Pukekohe Maternity Hospital Renovation Fund.
This generous contribution brings the total raised to $84,239, leaving just $15,761 to reach our $100,000 target.
A huge step closer
For more than 70 years, Pukekohe Maternity Hospital has played an important role in the lives of Franklin families. It’s where generations of local parents have welcomed their babies into the world, supported by dedicated midwives and healthcare staff.
Today, its two birthing suites are tired and outdated. Campbell Tyson, in partnership with the Middlemore Foundation, launched this fundraiser to help give something back to a place that has given so much to our community.
Reaching the $100,000 fundraising target will allow the next stage of the project to get underway, including finalising the plans and preparing for the work ahead.
And now, we’re less than $16,000 away.
It’s taken a community
The significant grant from the Kelliher Charitable Trust is an incredible boost and it builds on the generosity of so many people who have already got behind this project.
Individuals, families, businesses and organisations from across our community have donated, shared the fundraiser and found their own ways to help.
We’ve also loved seeing local schools get involved, with Pukekohe High School, Hill School, Mauku School and Puni School holding mufti days in support of the fundraiser, and potentially more schools joining the effort in Term 4.
From major grants to mufti days, every contribution is helping move us towards the same goal: creating a more comfortable and modern environment for local families during some of life’s biggest moments.
To the Kelliher Charitable Trust, our participating schools, and every person and organisation who has supported the campaign so far — thank you!
Just $15,761 to go. Let’s reach our $100,000 goal.
We’ve come an incredible way. Now we’re asking our community to help us close the gap to $100,000.
If Pukekohe Maternity Hospital has been part of your family’s story, or you simply want to help ensure future generations of Franklin families have a welcoming, comfortable place to bring their babies into the world, we’d love your support.
Every donation takes us one step closer to $100,000 and the next stage of making these much-needed improvements happen.
Help us close the gap.
