In the coming months MFA will be mandatory for all Xero customers – putting an extra layer of security to help keep your information secure.

You can start using MFA with an authentication app, like Xero Verify, from Tuesday 4th May 2021 before it becomes mandatory.

Prepare now - 3 things to have ready before implementing MFA in Xero:

1. An iOS or Android smartphone to download Xero Verify or other authentication app from Apple or Google app store. If you don’t have a smartphone you can use desktop authenticator Authy.
2. A backup email address (different to the one you use to login to Xero) which will only be used if you lock your account or don’t have your phone.
3. Ensure each team member has a unique Xero login and password. There are no limits on the number of users you can invite into an organisation or client file.
